Multiple indexes. One search.

Rumo pulls results from multiple independent search indexes and merges them into a single ranked list. Each index brings a different perspective — different crawlers, different ranking algorithms, different coverage.

When independent indexes agree that a page is relevant to your query, that's a stronger signal than trusting any single algorithm. You get high-quality results cross-checked across sources, without the ads, AI overviews, or tracking.

How ranking works

We use Reciprocal Rank Fusion (RRF) to merge results from all indexes. RRF doesn't need relevance scores — it only uses the position each result appeared at. Results that appear across multiple indexes get boosted, because cross-index agreement is a strong relevance signal.

Privacy

Rumo doesn't track you. No ad profiles. No search history stored. No analytics cookies. No “anonymous” telemetry that isn't really anonymous. Your searches are cached briefly for performance and then discarded.

API

Rumo also offers a JSON API for developers, automation pipelines, and LLM agents. The free tier gives you 3,000 searches per month — that's 30× more than what most search APIs charge for at their lowest paid tier.
